Bio
Alex Wells is a social worker and postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba. They completed their PhD in the Social Dimensions of Health program at the University of Victoria. His dissertation looked at the impact of 2SLGBTQ recreational sports club participation on the health and wellbeing of 2SLGBTQ people in Canada. Alex has also led or contributed to research projects on HIV prevention, mental health, and they are the Co-Principal Investigator for the 2SLGBTQ+ Recreational Sport Study, funded by CIHR.
