Bio

I am a PhD student with lived experiences related to disability and sexual identity, and currently completing my degree in the Social Dimensions of Health program at UVic. Pandemics (e.g., Mpox, COVID-19) were not experienced equally by sexual and gender-expansive disabled (SGED) persons. This has driven my passion in exploring how SGED persons cultivate psychological well-being, and how to improve social and health outcomes across future pandemics. It is imperative to explore these in order to provide tailored support for diverse people within our community. You can find more of my work here.
