Bio

Dr. Celeste Pang is an Assistant Professor in Women's & Gender Studies at Mount Royal University. Celeste's research and teaching engages closely with critical disability studies, critical gerontology, and queer and trans studies to examine social issues related to aging, disability, and care access and equity. Many of their projects concern 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Before joining MRU Celeste completed a PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto, and worked as a community-based researcher. Celeste co-founded and Co-Directs the QriTical: queer + trans research hub.
