Bio
Charles Furlotte, MSW, RSW (he/him/his), is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at St. Thomas University. Charles' research focuses on HIV and Aging. He has been involved in the HIV sector for over 20 years, and he was the lead investigator on the community-driven project "HIV and Aging: An Environmental Scan of Programs and Services in Canada." Charles is also a past fellow of Universities without Walls. Charles is conducting a qualitative study of older gay men's experiences of aging with HIV in Ontario as part of his doctoral project. His work has been published in various journals, including Canadian Social Work Review, Australian Social Work, Journal of Gerontological Social Work, Ageing & Society, Research on Aging, and Canadian Journal on Aging/La Revue canadienne du vieillissement.
