Bio
Dr. Cornel Grey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University. His research centers on the health and well-being of Black queer men, with a particular focus on the significance of skin-to-skin contact in their social and sexual lives. Through his work, Grey explores how Black queer men navigate risk, desire, intimacy, and pleasure in ways that challenge dominant public health and social narratives. His current research projects include a qualitative study examining Black queer men's experiences of and desires for positive touch, as well as an archival study tracing the transnational itineraries of Black queer diasporic artists and writers.
