Bio
Professor David J. Brennan is the founder and director of CRUISElab, a research lab focused on the health of gay, bisexual, two-spirit, cis- and transgender men who have sex with men (GB2M). Involved in the HIV epidemic since 1983, he has held roles such as case manager, psychotherapist, and researcher. His research examines HIV and STI risks and resiliencies for marginalized GB2M. He has received numerous awards, including the OHTN Research Chair and the Excellence in Research Award from the Canadian Association for HIV/AIDS Research. His work is funded by various organizations, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and CANFAR.
