Bio
Kavya (she/they) is a Master’s candidate in Culture, Human, & Health Development at the University of Saskatchewan. She centers her work on 2SLGBTQ+ well-being, exploring intergenerational knowledge transfer, transformative justice, and inclusive supports in evolving digital contexts. With experience as a court support worker, at a women’s shelter, and with Circles of Support and Accountability, she brings a community-driven lens to her research. She also collaborates with the Community-University Institute for Social Research on community-based studies addressing homelessness and housing insecurity. Kavya volunteers at her local bike co-op, investigates AI to reduce barriers, and enjoys roller derby, climbing, and being outdoors.
