Bio

Dr. Juster pioneers research on sex, gender, and allostatic load (AL), bridging biological psychiatry and health equity. His studies reveal how AL, stress hormones, and mental health outcomes vary by sex, gender, and LGBTQIA2S+ identity, highlighting the effects of stigma and discrimination. As co-director of the Signature Biobank, he leads a major psychiatric research consortium. His lab also explores cognitive differences through a nuanced lens of sex, gender, and sexual orientation. Committed to mentorship, Dr. Juster trains students from diverse backgrounds, fostering a collaborative research environment that supports emerging scholars across psychology and psychiatry.
