Bio
Thomas Tri is a Master of Social Work student at York University with research interests at the intersection of critical mental health, migration studies, and sexuality studies. He has extensive community-based research experience using participatory, qualitative, and arts-based methods. They previously served as the Student Lab Lead for the Disability and Sexuality Lab at the University of Calgary, where they supported projects focused on sexual health education for 2SLGBTQIA+ disabled individuals. Currently, he is a Research Associate at The Immigrant Education Society’s Centre for Immigrant Research, where he examines gender-based violence experienced by LGBTQIA+ migrants in Calgary.
