Bio
Tin (he/they) is an Assistant Professor in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Tin’s equity-focused and interdisciplinary research program explores social exclusion and belonging as determinants of health for marginalized communities, including racialized and 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Their work employs critical theories, such as queer theory, critical race theory, and intersectionality, to shape socially and culturally responsive systems of care in the areas of mental health and sexual health. As a Credentialed Evaluator, Tin has over 12 years of research and evaluation experience in public health, social services, and higher education sectors.
