Dr. Trevor Hart is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Director of the HIV Prevention Lab at TMU. Dr. Hart is also a Site PI of the CIHR-funded Engage cohort study, which involves researchers in HIV prevention and community-based organizations across Canada. This project is a longitudinal study of prevalent and recent infections of HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) among 2,100 GBM in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Recently, the Engage team received CIHR funding to conduct a new study on how biomedical treatments for bacterial sexually transmitted infections are changing the incidence of sexually transmitted infections and related sexual behaviours among GBM.
