Bio
Kiarah is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Their research broadly focuses on identifying modifiable risk and protective factors for 2S/LGBTQ+ individuals' and couples' sexual well-being, with the goal of developing accessible and inclusive interventions to bolster sexual well-being and treat sexual dysfunction. Their PhD research uses a mixed-methods approach to examine links between positive gender-related experiences (e.g., gender euphoria, gender pleasure) and sexual well-being in individuals and couples. Kiarah is also a student therapist and finds a great deal of fulfillment in supporting individuals as they navigate mental health concerns.
