Bio
Megan Muise is a 5th-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of New Brunswick. A cisgender, white, bisexual woman, Megan’s clinical interests include sex and couples therapy, trauma, and supporting queer individuals in finding joy, ease, and personal wellness. She was recently trained in conducting WPATH hormone replacement therapy assessments, a high-demand and often underserved area of care in New Brunswick. Her research explores the intersection of sex and queer experiences, with her PhD dissertation focusing on the barriers and facilitators to discussing sex in therapy. Through qualitative interviews with therapists and queer individuals across North America, she aims to improve therapeutic conversations about sex.
