Biographie
Alex Wells is a social worker and PhD candidate in the Social Dimensions of Health program at the University of Victoria. Their research is on the impact of community connection on 2SLGBTQ people’s mental and sexual health. His dissertation looks at the impact of 2SLGBTQ recreational sports clubs in Canada on the health and wellbeing of 2SLGBTQ people. Alex has also led or contributed to research projects on HIV prevention, mental health, and the legal issues of 2SLGBTQ people in Canada and they are the Co-Principal Investigator for the 2SLGBTQ+ Recreational Sport Study, funded by CIHR.
