Biographie
Cheyenne (she/her) is an Early Childhood Education professor and Black maternal health advocate. Cheyenne has a particular interest in how childbirth affects child development and has been advocating for better perinatal health care on social media. After completing her Master's thesis on the childbirth experiences of Black women in the GTA, Cheyenne co-founded the national non-profit “The Black Birth Project” who’s mandate aims to improve reproductive health outcomes in Canada. Cheyenne is a certified childbirth educator and doula and she works with both parents and healthcare providers to improve birth for all people. She is also mother to 5 wonderful children.
