Biographie
Kim Meeking is a genderqueer radiation therapist and community researcher located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional territory of the Mi'kmaq, colonially known as Nova Scotia. Kim has a background in oncology clinical trials management and healthcare communications and holds a masters in clinical health research. Their recent work includes exploring HPV access and uptake in 2SLGBTQI+ communities, experiences of gynecologic cancer in transgender and gender diverse individuals, and integrating inclusive strategies into clinical trial design and delivery. Since 2020, Kim has co-led Queering Cancer, a Canadian non-profit dedicated to improving cancer care for 2SLGBTQI+ communities through advocacy, education, and knowledge mobilization. On days off you can find Kim outside chopping firewood or walking in the woods.
