Biographie
Tovan Lew (he/him) is a medical student at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. Living on Treaty 29 Territory, his work centres on advancing equitable healthcare for 2S/LGBTQ+ communities through research, advocacy, and community engagement, with a particular focus on gender-affirming care in medical education. He serves as President of OpenMeds, a Schulich queer advocacy group, and sits on the national steering committee of the Canadian Queer Medical Student Association, where he helps develop educational programming for healthcare learners across Canada. Outside of medicine, Tovan volunteers with Pflag London youth group. He enjoys learning new crafts and spending time outdoors.
