Biographie
Ziad Guenoun is a Master's student in psychiatric science and addictology at Université de Montréal, where he is conducting research on gender minority stress and early intervention services in psychiatry. He was born and raised in Morocco and immigrated to Québec to pursue post-secondary education in cognitive neuroscience (Université de Montréal, 2021). He has since worked in the cultural and community sectors as well as in academic research. Ultimately, Ziad seeks to bridge the gaps between fundamental science and lived experience for marginalized people, with a focus on developing impactful interventions at the individual, collective and policy levels to improve mental health informed by patient priorities and a cultural-ecosocial view of psychopathology.
