Honey, we built something.
The 2S/LGBTQ+ Health Hub was built on a clear but quietly revolutionary premise: that 2S/LGBTQ+ communities deserve health research that reflects their lived realities, led by people with deep ties to those communities. Four years and 83 funded trainees later, we're proud to say that's exactly what we're doing. What started as a training platform has grown into a national ecosystem of researchers, practitioners, and alumni actively shaping the future of 2S/LGBTQ+ health, with trainees and mentors rooted in communities from coast to coast.
The Numbers Tell a Story. So Do the People.
This isn't just a grant hitting its targets. It's a community finding its footing. Across four cohorts, we've supported trainees from 32 universities and 24 community organizations, hosted over 20 public lectures, and built a mentorship network of 50+ experts spanning academia, healthcare, and community sectors. The work has grown well beyond the boundaries of our original goals, attracting new funding and partnerships that signal something bigger is building. We are absolutely just hitting our stride.
